As a Senior Transportation Operations Engineer at Citizen Engineers, I bring over 25 years of experience in the transportation industry—spanning local, state, and federal agencies. My career has focused on designing and delivering solutions that make our transportation systems safer, smarter, and more responsive to community needs. From leading traffic operations and signal systems to advancing TSMO strategies and complete streets policies, I’ve always been passionate about bridging the gap between big-picture planning and on-the-ground action.

Before joining Citizen Engineers, I served as a national subject matter expert at FHWA and spent two decades at WSDOT, where I grew from a design and construction engineer to a traffic engineer, then into headquarters and regional leadership roles. I’ve had the privilege of working with multidisciplinary teams across the country to shape programs around safety, equity, and operational excellence. I’m especially energized by opportunities to connect people—whether through mentorship, cross-agency partnerships, or helping clients turn vision into implementation.

I hold both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Civil Engineering, along with professional engineering (PE) and professional transportation operations engineer (PTOE) licenses. I’m also a trained, experienced facilitator, trainer, and speaker. At Citizen Engineers, I’m thrilled to be working alongside a team that shares my belief in values-driven infrastructure and people-focused design.

Outside of work, I’m usually on the move with my family—my husband Greg, our two daughters, Josee and Ade, and our service pup, Chai. Whether we’re on a plane touring the country or cheering at a softball game, I love finding joy in shared adventures. I’m also an avid skier, a music enthusiast (especially live shows), a national parks lover, and someone who never passes up a great cup of coffee or a good story. Having recently celebrated a milestone birthday and my continued health, I’ve come to value the little moments even more and try to live with a mix of curiosity, gratitude, humor, and just the right amount of mischief.
